Assumptions
The project involved creating a series of commercials that would present the latest Microsoft products in a realistic, cinematic and attractive way. The aim was to highlight the high quality of execution, modern design, advanced features and performance of these products. The commercials were to be aimed at a wide range of consumers, including professionals and home users. It was also important that the animations were consistent with the Microsoft brand image and highlighted its innovation.
Technology & Approach
Photorealistic 3D rendering techniques were used to achieve an effect similar to traditional product photography and studio filming. Detailed 3D models of Microsoft products were created, taking into account all the details, such as material textures, precision workmanship, ports and buttons. Dynamic shots, macro close-ups and smooth camera movements were used to show the products from different perspectives and emphasize their elegant design. Special effects such as realistic light reflections, depth of field and subtle animations were used to add dynamics and attractiveness to the shots. Appropriate lighting was taken care of, which emphasized the shapes and materials of the products. User interface elements were added to show the functionality of the devices. The whole thing was edited and refined in a compositing program to achieve a consistent and professional final effect, in line with the high standards of the Microsoft brand. The spots were optimized for display on various media, including television, the Internet and advertising screens.
